A Cool Season Thrivers selection!
Versatile Amazon performs as an exceptional landscape and bedding plant, showing very good heat tolerance. It is also an excellent commercial and home garden cut flower. Very dark green, glossy leaves on strong stems are the perfect backdrop to the bright, serrated-edged flowers for a vibrant head-turning show. In landscapes, Amazon grows to about 24 in. (60 cm) tall; as a Winter greenhouse-grown cut flower crop, height is up to 36 in. (45 to 90 cm). Attracts butterflies. Well-suited to gallon or larger pot production. Does not require vernalization to flower. Supplied as easy-to-sow pelleted seed only.
